OT: Stereo types, scandinavian being special, etc

Not every stereotype is wrong nor right, but NMT
was "special" in that 4 neighboring (small) countries
(with a common labor market, no passports, etc)
understood and negotiated a common standard, roaming, etc.

But I don't understand how Norway buys arabic oil as they
have a lot of it themselves, Finland, Sweden are of course
totally dependent on imported energy (oil). But on the
other hand I trust Norway to run a lot of computers to
figure out what they might sell their oil for in the
future, to figure out their investments and its
influence on Norway, economical and social, etc.
(on top of that they got more hydropower than most, some
of the electrons losing their energy in my computer
probably were charged in Norway)

The swedish incentive for buying computers some years
ago was much like "cutting taxes".

Telia-Albania, even senator Hollming is a little worried
about who owns US telecom operators-networks, although few
global interests could buy all of the US ones in a week or
two.

Agree that Spain, Portugal and Italy are "inventive" and
taking big leaps.

The need for 3G is not that great for sparsely populated,
highly wired regions, the other way around in densely
populated, especially with less existing copper wires and
maybe even earthquakes.

IMO, the most important 3G thing is that it is a (the first
wireless) global standard, mutually agreed to, mutual
commitments to build and improve, from east to west,
south to north.
