ezpkns,
The SS BUBBLE had better take its snow shovels to work clearing the Wall St Deck this week, The Perfect Storm is coming:

accuweather.com

Batten down the hatches if this one comes through as Bastardi thinks it will!!!!! 18 inches to THREE FEET in Harrisburg PA! I'll be winning a bet for a lb of Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee on this one if it happens.

I, as you may have gathered from my recent posts, have pulled way back, like 90%, from my gold stocks. They will remain on my radar screen as they have not broken my support levels, such as 50.3 on the XAU. I can always jump back in, but the action just does not look promising right now.

The flat line scenario for the markets is one that has been giving me nightmares for a few weeks. It creates a difficult market to make any money in and it would be a new animal for me and most traders, something we've no experience with. Livermore had a wonderful saying about such a market that occurred for a period of two years or so a bit before WWI, guess I'll have to look it up, it was a great quote, but danged if I can remember it.

Keep up the good work,

Roebear

Ezspkns, status update from the Chief Engineer of USS Bubble:

Several breakers have blown and electricity supply to the California promenade deck is in jeopardy. Portable generators are being set up, but fuel to run them is scarce. Blame is being placed on greedy folks from other decks, and the vocal passengers want the noisy & smelly generators moved elsewhere.

Captain Clinton was last seen conversing with navigator Greenspan, who seemed nervous. Fleet command informs us a vote of no confidence has been passed, and the new captain is flying out from the bush.

The high tech equipment on board isn't giving good visibility, and the system is unstable. Seems the liquidity flow of spare parts has dried up.

Chief steward Rich was last seen in the disco partying like Elvis. His wife & Mrs. Clinton last seen disappearing together.

Good news is the bow planes are jammed in the up position, and the ballast control plunge protection team are working overtime.

Plenty of life boats for the wealthy class, but losses among the less well connected could be staggering.

More as she develops....
