" We have met the grim reaper of financial investments " Yes. And Boots has certainly been correct about that all along.( as was Warren Buffet) The Nasadaq decline now surpasses the general percentage declines of '73-'74, but I read that the average PE after 74 was 4...lol....I don't even want to think about that. Would any long time investors here care to comment about the "feel" of this bear in comparison to 73-74? Comments would be most welcome. For what it is worth I tried to do a "value" breakdown of AXC. Due to the mammoth amount of cash they have burned in the last two years, and the implosion of net values, that hypothetical amount has declined in lockstep. The ADS sale amount is an unknown and the duration and amounts of royalty payments also unknowns to me. But assuming the ADS sale is at least 38 million. Assuming that they CAN erase the bridge loan with a real estate deal ( though I have come to fear the phrase " in negotiations"), and assuming- a fair assumption- that they can extend the royalties 5 more years at roughly present levels + factoring in debt and redeemables....I would make it to be about 50 to 70 cents per share. If they can increase the royalty stream, it would be quite a bit higher.Actual growth finally in their net business and a resurgence of market sentiment would make that valuation MUCH higher; just as more years of throwing cash out the window would make it that much lower. Holding here..may fish for a bit more at some point. Fingers crossed. Good luck to all here. and OT...a joke I just got by email. Laughed << So God asked Adam, "What is wrong with you?" Adam said he didn't have anyone to talk to. God said that He was going to make Adam a companion and that it would be a woman. God said, "This person will gather food for you, cook for you, and when you discover clothing, she'll wash it for you. She will always agree with every decision you make. She will bear your children and never ask you to get up in the middle of the night to take care of them. She will not nag you and will always be the first to admit she was wrong when you've had a disagreement. She will never have a headache and will freely give you love and passion whenever you need it." Adam asked God, "What will a woman like this cost?" God replied, "An arm and a leg." Then Adam asked "What can I get for a rib?" The rest is history.>>
