RE: "What is your outlook for Monday? I did see some hopeful signs on Friday that indicate to me that Monday may start an up week."

Mike, Tough call in this environment. After about a six week major downtrend in the NAZ, the odds are we should move higher next week. Thursday and Friday were interesting days last week with plenty of volatility and signs that some stocks are becoming immune to bad news. Also noteworthy IMO was that the index was unable to break back above 2200 on two attempts. I also think that there's was a good deal of short covering going on. The close Friday can be viewed a number of ways: Were the traders getting out before the weekend? Were the bears and shorts once again selling into strength? Both? As for my guess, well, I doubt we'll get AG to come out with an early rate cut, and I think there's a high probability of another major tech leader to come out and warn (ala Oracle), so FWIW, I'll speculate on a down week that begins with a down Monday.
