Good Morning DMA,

Socialists fight the smallest change which moves our nation toward free market principles, because they are the party stuck in the assuming mental model of "because".

The arguments may be cogent and plentiful, but no matter how many persuasive reasons are cited, they won't be convinced. No problem was ever solved by arguing in terms of "because".

Big problems are solved by people who are willing to think beyond the word "because". We can either choose to say, "It won't work because of this, so let's give up", or we can ask the question "how can we do it so that it will work".

That's why it's always very illustrative for me to see how little Democratic followers have thought through solutions to problems such as our social security dilemma. They haven't thought it through, because they've never gotten beyond the word "because".

Michael

So the socialists are pretty foolish fighting it so desperately aren't they?

Tell me, do you really consider anyone to the left of Jesse Helms a socialist?
