Oh man, Caxton, I'm worried. Should I go and sell all of my Nokia stock? It's very considerate of you to warn us about Nokia's deteriorating outlook. Do you think Qualcomm is a good buy now, or will Irwin Jacob's drive the stock price down further sheerly by the power of his Midas mouth? Inquiring minds want to know.

Caxton, you have a point here

- To transmit data, GPRS increases the % of time the phone is transmitting

- In comaprision, cdma 1x increases battery life and reduces power consumption,

- in addition to doubling carriers capacity

Is the second one the famous power control trick of turning off all other transmitters

Kind of like TDMA does???

the third one making two angles dance rock-n-roll on the same pinhead??

However, please explain the leap from point one to point
two in more detail, I'm totally lost you there, and I
think Shannon would be too (as well as Viterbi of Flarion)

Ilmarinen.

P.S. Shouting obviously helps and recieves attention
at cocktail parties, but that rarely saves battery??
(except if one introduces things like negative
resistors, etc, but even perpetum mobiles are not to even
possible to try to patent, and they don't even need any battery to run)
