Great find PW. As soon as I rest my eyes for awhile, I check them out.

BTW my IE5.5 custom icons are no longer on the loose. I found them in the windows/temporarty internet files/content.ie5 folder named favicon.ico. (thanks to Kay cee) Interestingly all with the same name and same displayed icon. When I renamed them and copied them to a different folder the true icon displayed. Then I changed the properties for the internet shortcut icons for those bookmarks to the new moved file. Now they're stable.

It sounds like a lot to do, but it went pretty quickly after I got the hang of it.
