Jim,

The search didn't even touch Castle Rock or down towards Colorado springs, not to mention the ski resorts, Grand Junction, Durango, etc.

It is probably safe to guess that Colorado has over 200 courses, which is one for every 25,000 people. I drove past a course this beautiful sunny afternoon, and saw about 4 people playing.

Jim,

On a rainy day up here (I wish those folks would keep their cold fronts up north), I was looking at a chart of the $SOX.

stockcharts.com[l,a]maclyymy[pb50!b200][vc60][iUb14!La12,26,9]

It's remarkable to me that we had similiar 50% declines in the SOX from from September 1995 to about September of 1996, and from mid-1997 to about October 1998. I had forgotten (repressed?) those nasty times. The charts of those declines look very similiar to the decline we are currently suffering.

Just a point of reference, and an acknoledgement that semi pullbacks of almost this magnitude are not unique, in fact have happened 3 times in a little over six years.

Anybody feel better? Probably not.

John
