Eric, regarding Vodafone as a 1xEV supporter, that would be expected, inasmuch as Vodfone owns AirTouch, an entirely CDMA operation in the U.S. Whether Vodafone would want to upgrade its European GSM facilities is another matter, but one should remember that Vodafone has less debt than other European service providers, and the prospect of total compatibility offered by new GSM-CDMA compatible handsets must look attractive.
