I've heard that this is one way your email address gets out on the lists used for spam. I don't know this for a fact, but it seems plausible and I personally never email an article to anyone, I only forward a link. If it's a rare case where I want to save it, I usually open the frame containing the article in a separate navigator window and save it from there.

NYT may be more honest than some sites (I wouldn't trust Excite.com!), and in any case the Lebed article is worth reading. I loved those SEC agents puffing their cheeks over Jonathan's behavior in front of what goes on with the major market analysts who routinely send a major stock gapping in the morning after one of their reports!
