Hi InSook Prasad, I cannot agree with you more.

<<Jay, I was born and raised in Korea. When I went to Hong Kong first time over 25 yrs ago ... I never met any rich around the world who doesn't have a house/s in US, especially their kid/s in US. Wonder why they send their precious kids to US?>>

My father took the family out of China when he was 63 (I was 10 in early 1970), with negative US$ 700 (father went to China at age 53 from England) courtesy of the communists. We did our usual stateless thing, and I studied in the US. I came to Asia with negative $30k. Yup, got house in US. No kids yet. Send wife (10 years my junior) to Harvard B-school for finishing. Sent English niece to U of Indiana. Sent Chinese nephew to UK for studies. Saw Russian niece become world champion triple jumper. It has been an odyssey.

My <<Try Hong Kong. You have rights. We have freedom. You make lots with much. We make much with nothing. >> is due primarily to fact that some poster’s absolute statements only deserve absolute responses as above.

<<If you're rich, you can have right, freedom, make a lot with little/or a lot from any place in the world … $25 and one suitcase with full of DREAMS. All of us worked like dogs and many of us still work like dogs. US is the country for dreamers from poor or rich. You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but remember to look at the big picture.>>

I cannot agree more.

<<If you're poor in HK, can you really have all those?>>
Actually, yes, but have to get wealthier first. With or without US schooling. Easier with.

<<Either living in a glass house or intellectually dishonest a little bit?>>
Not dishonest at all. Did it and seen it done, quite often, amongst our 6 mm folks. Else no way to explain the wealth level in HK. There is a world of opportunities outside of the US, and we are the freest economic society in the world, bar none.

My postings are the way they are because some folks really do simply view the sky from the bottom of a well, and see that the sky is only the size of a manhole cover.

Chugs, Jay
