And the unweighted Value Line index of stocks is actually up for the year. So why all the doom and gloom? It is because almost every Joe and Jane has their entire portfolio in techs. The same INTC, CSCO, MSFT in every portfolio. And they are all down 60% or 70% from their highs. Not to mention the "next Intel"s, the "next Cisco"s and the "next Microsoft"s in the same portfolios, which are down 90 to 95% from their highs.
