I think it takes "guts" NOT to buy PYR at this price, or higher, if you do not own it. Its high percentage holdings and potential in ELH AND other acreage, together with its almost debt-free position, First well carried interests and relative immunity to takeover, make it almost mandatory to own. I have been accumulating more whenever it weakens.

P.S. John M. and Davo seem to be amplifying and clarifying some of the posts on flow that earlier posts "muddied." It would appear that in tubing diameter, "a little means alot."<ggg>

Hi Bob.

<<I am sure that the pressure is above the critical pressure for methane and I wonder how calcuable this thing is.>>

Exactly. Now consider a multicomponent critical hydrocarbon mixture and throw in some H2O, also above its critical pressure. What do we even have, "pseudo two phase flow" or perhaps single phase flow of a more complex single critical mixture ??? Fun hey ???? <gg> Can any of the younger engineers\physicists provide enlightenment ??

<<I suspect there is a lot of empirical data from past experience involved.>>

Yep, the "two phase" calculations of Beggs\Briggs(??) and Brill are empirical. And, unfortunately, the correlation was derived from a data set in, primarily, much lower pressure and temperature ranges. When we apply those correlations to ELH we are doing so at some risk because we are extending the "range" of the correlation. How good are the results ???? Probably better than an outright WAG, but I sure wouldn't wager the grocery money on what the computer printout says either. JMHOBWDIK.

Have a good one.

Later,
grayhairs

P.S. ** OT ** Do you think that MGY might be "Hunted" in the "Forest" ?? Perhaps a better bet might be the energy trust (NAL ???) that took down all those flow throughs back in December. But then there's still the other accents that haven't announced yet, either. Interesting indeed.
