Pete, The Dems have controlled the House almost continuously for the entire last century. Any trend you want can be correlated versus the constant 1. During the first two years of the Clinton administration, the Dems controlled Washington. The Federal Deficit dropped by almost 50% during that time. During the next two years with Reps in control of the Congress, the remainder of the annual deficit was wiped out. Bush is about to reverse the trend, and send us back into the red. Clinton did a very good job, but you are too brainwashed to see it. Scumbria
