Network cost to download that song using WCDMA is 3.5 times what it costs for CDMA2000 1XEV and for GPRSucks technology, the cost is 21 times as great. Is this what EUROfools want to wait years to get? ARF, ARF!

Why not use CDMA2000 1XEV which will download the song in only 11 sec using a mear 1.25MHz of spectrum.

I hate that slide. It is an example of the endless hyping by wireless companies of new technologies....that inevitably end up disappointing the customer. The data rates that IJ uses are peak data rates. These are unlikely to be reality except in a very small percentage of the cases. I doubt we will ever use HDR to download an MP3 file in 11 seconds. You would have to be standing underneath the antenna tower as the only data user to enable speeds that fast.

I am sure that in a couple of years when HDR is commercial we are going to be hearing how it failed to live up to expectations since everybody cant get 2.4Mbps. I would rather have the wireless companies underpromise and overperform....

Yes. Using the Samsung SCH-X200 or possibly the SPH-X2000, Right?

And using this technology, Right?

And perched on top of the base station, on a clear day, with no one else on the net.

Guess we'll have to.

Now about that 11 seconds?

This would work if the Average User rate was 2.4Mbps.

That is sort of like saying GPRS will deliver 172 kbps, is it not?

You are NOT that gullible are you?
