semi, Well, Dell is not smart because they place all their eggs in one basket, and we see how that has cost them.
They are smart in their choice of model. That is the advantage Mikey has, he was not burdened with age and memories of how it had to be done via distribution and tiers etc. he started small and took out all the costs from the beginning. A few attempts at tiers were soon thrown away and he went direct.
CPQ, IBM etc owned enormous ecologies of tiers all feeding on them in complex ways and they could not find the mindset to throw them all away...probably lawsuits there as well if they had gone dell and cut them all off, so they permitted Dell to grow by their own stupidity....we are IBM, CPQ, what need we fear this pimple....next thing you know he is right up there.....all avoidable if they had the brains to do it.

GTW..something similar, their holy grail was the retail shops, a costly 1 on 1 tier....doomed from the start and yet they clung to them...for far too long. They need to burn them down tomorrow.

Who said low end?? Gamers buy expensive machines, but look for the lowest costs and they are buying AMD not Intel.
All market sectors make money anyway.

GTW will feature them better, probably they are featuring intel now due to soft $

As for coercion, well who better than an insider to reveal this information...

AMD should indeed protest if others get paid/beaten to not sell their products.
