You were banned from the Porch for writing what you did? I'm sorry to hear that, though not surprised. People have been banned for all sorts of reasons. I do have to say, Keith, that it was likely your own actions that got you banned from there, rather than my or Rose's interpretation after the fact. I hope you clear things up and can go back on, if that's what you'd like to do.

Keith, to blame Poet and Rose for getting banned from the Porch is a bit of a stretch. They merely cited a public post that you made. If you really want to see what happened all you need to do is to look at the evolution of banning on that thread. The mod porch was allegedly created to prevent the likes of bonuss from causing disruption with posts that were viewed as uncivil or obscene. It was fine to post anything else. Then there was a brief attempt to stop political discussions. Following this you were banned temporarily for being viewed as a disruptive influence because you verbalized your anxieties about the market. Thereafter, people who came out supporting you were banned. I was warned for posting links from this thread - I have no idea whether I have been banned. Then anyone saying anything even mildly critical of Voltaire and his numerous asinine predictions were banned immediately including Thomas D'Souza. Now you have been banned for even suggesting that there were some people who had contacted you about a class action suit - when all that you were seeking to do was to caution Voltaire. The only way to post on that thread now is to either be servile and praise Voltaire all the time or to just treat it as a gathering place and refrain from any comments about Voltaire. FWIW, I don't think that you had any ulterior motive in posting what you did. I realized a long time ago that you were the type of person who liked to verbalize your thoughts. I have seen you post on other threads - and even if the ban remains in effect, I think that you can find the camaraderie that you seek elsewhere on SI. You might even find some worthwhile investment advice - which is more than you will find on the mod-porch.
