stocks that gap up will reverse 95% of the time in 10 to 15 minutes

About trader vic's numbers, could you elaborate as to why if that were true you couldn't just short every gap up and make money? Maybe it is obvious, but I don't get it yet. TIA

Trader Vic II, (Vic Sperandeo), came out with some hard numbers that stocks that gap up will reverese 95% of the time in 10 to 15 minutes.

Well why do you not short them if it is a 95% trade? Once again, I am not telling you how to trade but rather
telling you what it is that I do. Though I think you should stay with what works for you, people keep telling me
why this should not work for me. And besides, if I am not shorting, I am always buying less aggresively into
a gap.
