I am digesting what you have said, i don't think about it much. I need some time to think about it all. Your being adopted, and Poet's having adopted are, greater parts of your lives and identities than my having adopted out. Relief seems very similar to what i would feel. I once in a while search on the people I adopted to. I have seen many pictures of them, but not of their kids. Once I found a post by their elder, a boy, not mine, on a genealogical research board, under his adopted father's surname. I wonder if he is searching for his roots. I wonder if she is too. My son knows now, and has no feeling for her really, except when he found out that they share a birthday.

I will step out now for a few minutes. I am making blueberry pancakes for my family. I have to take care of me aging granny. (She adopted my mother.)
