My friend Tom the construction worker is practically crippled. He has 7 years to go until he gets to 62 and early retirement under SS. He probably will get disabililty first. The age shouldn't be raised without Tom's consent. And as far as white-collar folks, i don't see 70 year olds being recruited. And many white collar folks never make big bucks.

OT SS

When SS was implemented, we did not have people living to age 120 and many living to be centenarians. This is a trend which is only growing greater. I see no other alternative but to adjust the system to fit with the times.
