I knew what X meant too, I admit. I just think since "humane" implies a quality that we approve of, and I do not particularly approve of putting all living things on an equally moral footing, that I prefer my usage. I knew we would eventually get down to a comparison of usage.......

Karen, I missed the opportunity to say this at the time the small cosmic force (small relative to Cosmic Forces) brought this up. I would definitely accede to those wishes once I was convinced they were sincere, and that they were justified to the certainty and satisfaction of the other party. However, I would make him/her wait a long time, so that an appropriate measure of suffering had taken place to balance the selfishness of his/her behaviour.
