Joan:

I agree. We have a very long way to fall. My worries pertain to the viciousness of bear market rallies.

So far, the descent has been remarkably "orderly". As has been pointed out by many of our threadsters, and with which I agree, the normal signs of a short term bottom have been awol. (g)

Like you, I try to monitor Joe Five-Pack's attitudes and behaviour as what he decides to do is extremely important, because a goodly percentage of funds are quietly sliding out the side door (at least to the extent that their bi-laws allow). If Joe decides he's had enough punishment and decides to curtail dip buying, or heaven forbid, decides to call for redemption, then the market's "orderly" descent will become a collapse. I will post anything I see that so indicates and appreciate your comments. I encourage all other posters to contribute their observations on Joe's current behaviour as they see it. So far, I detect only worry, not fear.

Best, Earlie
