Your stream of consciousness posting style, while very interesting, hardly lends itself to any kind of focused discussion.

I am not arguing the role of government in the long list of maladies you listed (odd that you blame the government or "Gooberment" for all those things or making them worse--you sound like a professional victim.) Nor am I here to try and decipher what you could possibly mean when you equate The Big Nipple in the Sky religious philosophy of Goobermentalism and with religious tenents.

There's just one thing I am arguing here--the inability of states in particular to fullfill their duty and obligation towards the social welfare of their citizens. They've blown it in the past repeatedly--they're blowing it now.

How else do you explain the inability or unwillingness to disperse millions of dollars in "free" federal assistance (no state match) under the current TANF block grant program? All they have to do is make the food stamp, child care and Medicaid money available to those complying with the welfare to work program. They money is there for their use and it's legally due them under the program.

My only answer to the above is incompetency.
