During his fourteen-year career at Oracle, Gary assumed control of Oracle’s core database business and led the execution of Oracle’s Internet and e-business vision. Gary also led Oracle’s worldwide marketing, support, education and alliance organizations, and was responsible for mergers and acquisitions, global information technology and the Oracle Venture Fund. In addition, Gary served as the executive responsible for Oracle Business Online, OracleMobile.com, and Oracle e-Travel, where he was chairman of the board. Before joining Oracle in 1986, Gary held technical positions in the mainframe area at both IBM Corporation and Chevron Corporation. Gary earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University of San Luis Obispo where he currently serves on the President’s Cabinet. Gary also serves on the board of directors of Virata Corporation, AppWorx, MediaSnap and the advisory boards of Arcot and Diamondhead Ventures.
