Let me see if I am understanding your thoughts so far, and how I'm reaching the conclusion I have so far... 1) If I understand you now, """the past makes no difference...whatever is past is past....now to carry forward and how to do it?...""" Am I right? I personally think it makes a difference as to "when" one purchased any stock. Money matters, because it is a symbol of effort and one's life energy. Most of the people who were and the few that still are on this particular board purchased stock some time ago, and at various times on it's way up. We choose to stay in the stock when it merged because ALL the PR and written material, to say nothing of articles/opinions said the whole was going to be greater than the sum of it's parts. Then the merger. Then quiet. Then December, and announced in Jan.....and all of the etc's.... Now, IF one just purchased INSP since Dec or Jan, and one believed that there would be some "play" either way...then that person/entity probably thinks a few dollars times the number of shares up or down is no big deal, especially if that person/entity were just "fooling around with the stock", and didn't care about the company or who ran it. And Yes, you are right...we are all in the same boat now if we still own the stock. 2) LOL! This is possibly an understatement when you said:You are right that those who paid a lifetime membership may feel cheated if SI goes the way of the do do bird. Am I right that you don't have a PAID Life Membership? I am assuming since you are posting, you have some sort of PAID membership, right? If you don't then it won't matter to you where you post. There are many places around to do just that. It would be interesting to see just how many other SI members actually have Paid and Unpaid accounts someplace else....And to find out the reasons they stay here as first preference..... 3) Again, I take it you don't think SI is a loss... I have two questions there... a) How does Motley Fool, Yahoo, Raging Bull, CNBC, Clearingstation, etc continue to have message boards....??? SI's has always been the best one.... and b) Since I stated earlier that as recently as last fall (5 months ago now) that SI was low maintenance, and profitable....and I asked the question....WHATS DIFFERENT NOW..... Perhaps INSP could really and sincerely tell us....and NO, I don't think INSP has "ruined SI", yet anyhow.... 4) I think I will let these {rhetorical?} comments still stand. ... Both your's and mine. Maybe the difference is how we view history...a few months to me just isn't a very long time. Also, I think we have to gather up all the pieces of that history we can find, and look at it... I believe there really is something to the thought that says: past behaviors can and usually do predict future actions... I agree...Antagonism doesn't work. But I truly do believe we have to know WHY what we were lead to believe didn't work....so that we CAN go forward. Because IF we don't understand what happened, and WHY..how can we possibly go forward and believe what they tell us next? Either via PR, advertising, etc.... Please tell me something Bosco...do you really think that in less than two months it is normal to go 180 degrees in the opposite direction without questioning the deal....Analogy: It's rather like buying a house, signing the papers, going on vacation, coming back to the new place, all ready to move in, and finding the house has turned into a boat.
