In that respect you are right, it is like Pd, and in the last year, Pd was a very good bet, will it stay that way? I do not know, but in the case of gold, what we do know, is that there is an overhang of many years of production in the CB's vaults, and while the current agreement is to limit these sales to around 400 tonnes per year, this agreement can be changed. as for the supply of gold, it is growing, and I believe that in the last 20 years or so it has increased (new gold, without recycling) from under 40 MM ounces to more than 80 MM ounces annually (give or take few MM ounces). I do not think that in the same period car production capacity has increased so much.
