Paul responded to this statement: "I believe it to be common knowledge that Andreas works for ZDNet Germany."

with this: Why is that common knowledge? Better, is it true?

I'm not sure why its been common knowledge.. but I vaguely remember Andreas mentioning it... however.. I can answer to whether its true or not with an affirmative yes thanks to some cut and paste at Zdnet Germany's site:

Paul,
RE:"Re: "I believe it to be common knowledge that Andreas works for ZDNet Germany."
"Why is that common knowledge?
Better, is it true?"

You seem a litlle stunned. Maybe you're concerned that everyone here is not just blowing hot as as you sometimes think? At any rate, it should make you feel a little better about your AMD investment...

You should be more concerned about NEC pushing AMD into the business market. You know darn well if AMD ever can penetrate that segment they can do some major damage on Intel. Still, we wait for SMP....

Paul: Why is that common knowledge?

Better, is it true?

Common knowledge (perhaps too strongly worded, I admit ;)) because Andreas mentioned it at some point. I don't read ZDNet.de (or .com, for that matter), so it's not likely that my mind would play tricks on me and somehow concoct an association between Andreas and ZDNet.de. A quick search of "Andreas Wonisch" on google would seem to verify some sort of link. Beyond that, I don't really know what the exact nature of the link is.

Paul, Re: Better, is it true?

You may want to check my DirectX 8.0 article:

See the name there? OTOH it could be my evil twin with the same name.
