"Having King's young age, logic tells me Tampa is more logical. "

Tampa has a solid defense and has the potential to make it to the big game. Only problem is that King will never get them there IMO.

How much longer can Tampa keep that defense together before age sets in and they must start to rebuild. Fan patience is not what it use to be. Tampa might just be one player away from the Super Bowl. And that player might just be Flutie.

It does make sense. Flutie is hungry for the big game. Getting there will vindicate him from all his detractors. Tampa needs a quarter back who can get points on the scoreboard. Most of all, Tampa needs a hungry QB. One with a chip on his shoulder. Yup...Flutie in Tampa sounds logical to me.

Vince

PS - I still can't believe the Bills wasted two seasons because of fatheads who opted for Johnson.

Cowboys Said to Waive Aikman
news.iwon.com|sporttop|03-07-2001::20:10|reuters,00.html
March 7, 2001 8:05 pm EST

IRVING, Texas (Reuters) - The Dallas Cowboys apparently have waived often-injured quarterback
Troy Aikman a day before the Super Bowl quarterback would have received a $7 million bonus.

ESPN reported Wednesday that the 34-year-old Aikman, who led the Cowboys to three Super Bowl
championships, was jettisoned by Dallas, which also would have had to extend his contract through
2007 if they had kept him.

The Cowboys have not confirmed the move.

Dallas needs salary cap room for outside linebacker Dexter Coakley, who inked a six-year, $25 million contract.

Aikman, a 12-year NFL veteran has said that he still wants to play despite suffering his ninth concussion in 2000.
He has had four in the last two seasons.

"This was a mutual and amicable decision," Aikman told ESPN. "I'd like to play somewhere. Whether that's able to work out or not, I don't know. There's nothing definitive.

"This is really a cap deal. Waiting until June wasn't going to help me."

In addition to the health concerns, Aikman was the lowest rated-passer in the NFC last season. He appeared in
just 11 games and had a pair of concussions.

The Cowboys are expected to look into the free agent market to replace Aikman. Possibilities include Gus Frerotte, Trent Dilfer and Doug Flutie.

Aikman was the top choice in the 1989 draft out of UCLA and joined with running back Emmitt Smith and receiver
Michael Irvin to move the Cowboys back to the top of the NFL pack.

The Cowboys won Super Bowl titles under Aikman following the 1992, 1993 and 1995 seasons.

Aikman has thrown for 32,942 yards and 165 touchdowns with

Randall Cunningham served as Dallas' backup last season, but Anthony Wright finished the 2000 season as the
starter in Dallas.

I'm afraid i don't see it Dave.
