Same can be said of GE that went up around 50 fold during Welsh's rein. Need to keep in mind that 12 fold of the increase was due to increase in earnings power and 4 fold as a result of their increased p/e (a result of their demonstrated earnings growth and offsetting decreased value of the earning power of cash).
Of course understanding all what drive equity price is what investing (or speculating) is all about.
