Why are they flocking to those jobs? Because they generally pay better than those in their native land. It's all relative.

Try it yourself DAK. Try to pay bills and afford health care when your child is occasionally sick on what many of these agri-workers make. See how well you do.

Actually, there is some real exploitation, even in hi-tech. I have first-hand knowledge of it. It's the same kind of story story they tell us natives -- "work your ass off now for crummy wages and get your green card, then it's the big-time".

I was working for a company that imported about a half-dozen Chinese guys to do software. Paid their wages directly into their bank in China, made them all live in a rented 3-bedroom house, gave them an allowance of like twenty bucks a week. The company shafted me at one point which is when I got the whole story so I called the INS. INS said it was a 60-Minutes perfect abuse of the system.
