Intel is known for encouraging companies to build products that will never ship in any significant quantity.

It is useful to have your enemies resources committed to a useless development effort.

Very smart by Intel but yet another move away from Rambus?
Then again, maybe Rambus still collects some on DDR UNLESS...JEDEC can somehow work around Rambus' wouldbe claims on DDR...I yield to the technical folks on that.
