Jim,
RE:"Perhaps, Intel is hoping that Micron will take the bait!"

Looks to me like Intel is trying to weasel it's way back into the good graces of the rest of the industry.
More like Intel saying..."hey, so I mislead you on Rambus so let me take the lead in DDR and you all can follow me again, trust me" LOL

Jim

Hi jim kelley; Re: "Hmmm...after telling us that DDR266 is not a systems solution due to random system failure, Intel is pushing the industry to develop 400 MHZ DDR. Something smells in Denmark!"

The basic problem here is that you believe Intel's BS. Intel always spreads FUD about systems that they do not yet have chipsets for. Before they had PC133 chipsets they stated that PC133 wouldn't work. Now they sell PC133 chipsets, I would guess considerably more than they sell RDRAM chipsets.

Eventually, Intel will sell DDR266 (PC2100) chipsets, won't you be surprised! I won't.
