hom·i·cide (hm-sd, hm-)
n.

1.The killing of one person by another.
2.A person who kills another person.

For the above to be true you must first decide that the fetus is a person- which is begging the whole question you and E are arguing about.

FYI:
per·son (pûrsn)
n. Abbr. per., pers.

1.A living human being. Often used in combination: chairperson; spokesperson; salesperson.
2.An individual of specified character: a person of importance. See Usage Note at man.
3.The composite of characteristics that make up an individual personality; the self.
4.The living body of a human being: searched the prisoner's person.
5.Physique and general appearance.
6.Law. A human being or an organization with legal rights and duties.
7.Theology. The separate individualities of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as distinguished from the essence of the Godhead that unites them.
8.Grammar.
a.Any of three groups of pronoun forms with corresponding verb inflections that distinguish the speaker (first person), the individual
addressed (second person), and the individual or thing spoken of (third person).
b.Any of the different forms or inflections expressing these distinctions.
9.A character or role, as in a play; a guise: “Well, in her person, I say I will not have you” (Shakespeare).

As to your second point- there is no way on Earth you can prove it degrades our regard for human life. You can say you "believe" (but you said it as if it were a statement of fact) it degrades our regard for human life as you define and understand human life without verging into the ridiculous, but if you go further than that, which you did, you wander into the unsubstantiated territory of the mystic.

(Rape and incest are reasonable exceptions to a pro- life regime)

I've always been of the mind that the child should not be punished for the actions of the rapist but splitting off rape does deal with the issue that some pro-choice people raise about outlawing abortion being equivalent to making the mother the slave of the fetus even if it is considered a person.

As for incest I would say that most incest is rape or at least statutory rape and it could be covered under rape. If the woman is an adult who voluntarily has sex with a relative I don't see why she should be allowed to kill her unborn child because the father is a relative. But such cases are rare.
