Glenn:

Cramer laughed at Amazon rumor and stated that the company will not make it. He cited the amount of debt.

This is definitely short covering. Both amazon and walmart are US companies. Why would the rumor start in Europe? Do they know better than the sources in the US? Remember that the huge debt was sold mostly in Europe. Is there any connection with trying to prop up the price of amazon bond?

Walmart is a solid company and excellent management. They do not deny every rumor that shows up. Doing so would mean that if a rumor is not refuted, then it would mean that it is true. Therefore, walmart will not be caught in that predicament.

I am still short amazon at 17. I plan to short some more if amazon hits 15 today. I just cannot see that amazon can survive or that walmart will enter into a partnership with walmart. They are of diffferent cultures.
