Pravin,

Too bad integrated chipsets for Duron have not materialized this quarter. That could have really put us over the top.

The Sis chipset in Sony Vaio did for part of the quarter. I am not aware of any OEM using KM133 yet.

Duron sales could also have been saved by Gateway acting in their enlightened self interest. Instead, they have decided to fight Dell on Dell's home turf while Dell is sacrificing profit to gain market share. This could be a fatal mistake for Gateway. Had they decided to offer better performance/price with AMD based systems, they could have taken share away from Dell.

I was wondering about their strategy as well. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me. One possibility is that they are waiting for KM133 to offer Duron. We should see in the next couple of months if this is the case, or if GTW only used AMD in time of shortage.

Joe
