I have mixed feelings about such a huge rate cut as .75 or 1.0. Would prefer adding reserves and liquidity now with a 1/2 pt cut on March 20. I also want speedy passage of the Prez's original tax cut plan, pro-rated to Jan 1, with no strings or changes. Oh, and I also want a good tasting rocky road ice cream that contains only natural ingredients and has no fat or calories--MK--

The Fed Funds rate is 50 basis points more than the discount rate. Money is still too tight. Fed needs to lower the Fed Funds target rate to below the Discount Rate. I don't know what the Greenman is trying to do. It sure looks like he tried and succeeded in creating a recession.
