As for suggestions that the stock market is not the economy, well in Hawaii where I am it is: spoke with a couple hotel managers last night: last year was the biggest year ever. Now with the market in the tank, the bookings have dried up! No question in their mind.
Great thing is, the general public is seeing the news of last year and how glowing the economy is...
