I agree, but the issue is that the stocks have always bottomed when book to bill deterioration decelerates. So somewhere between 34 and 50 with amat is the bottom. It could lumber along in the low 30's for a long while but it has a history of running 4-8x when it moves so if you go long term, buying now will be fine.

Again, i fully agree that it could drop back to the mid 30's and linger, and is probably a good short right now, but I have covered and gone long at between 38 and 42.
