davidd, >>any thoughts on whyAusie dollar will recover Joan?

IMO, the Ausie $ has been going down in value relative to the US $ because of their commodity based economy and you know no one is interested in commodities, they have been interested in chasing the new era equities. <g> I also believe the Ausie $ has been going down because of Asian woes. I believe when things shake out commodity based economies will have more value than is perceived at this time. I do not expect bankruptcies to be a problem in Australia, i.e. their financial health is in much better shape than the US and maybe even Europe.

I also plan on buying into Chili before this economic downturn is over. Once Canada's currency takes a hit because of the US macro economic problems and it's dependence on the US I will buy into the commodity side of the country. Chili and Canada are not IMO ready to be bought, but I think we have seen the bottom in the Ausie $.

BWDIK,

Joan
