The Jenna Bush Frat Party Photo Conspiracy

Cue the "Twilight Zone" music and break out the
tinfoil hats.

The allegedly mysterious disappearance of a
photo of first daughter Jenna Bush at a college
frat party last week has mainstream media
conspiracy theorists panting.

Reporters didn't bat an eye when half of the
Vincent Foster death scene photos vanished and
the other half turned up underexposed. Or when
X-rays showing what looked like bullet fragments
in Ron Brown's head were destroyed.

But now that a photo of first daughter Jenna
Bush has been pulled from the Web site Flash
Photography, the company hired to take pictures
of a Texas Christian University frat party last
week, the media is newly curious.

The Associated Press has actually covered the
Jenna Bush frat party photo conspiracy with an
apparent straight face, revealing Saturday that:

"Flash Photography always posts pictures after
events so students can order them easily, but
owner Rick Strong declined to comment why the
Bush picture was suddenly missing Friday."

"Freshman William Ashe Bridges, who later was
arrested for public intoxication after police
raided the bash, is in the picture with Bush,
several students confirmed."

Police subsequently hauled Bridges off to the
local drunk tank, where he was collected by
Jenna and her Secret Service agents four hours
later.

The White House is claiming it had nothing to do
with the disappearing Jenna pic, but media
conspiracy theorists aren't buying it.

These would be the same reporters who declined
to pursue multiple on-the-record allegations of
President Clinton's cocaine use. But the thought
that a college coed may have been - omigod -
drinking at a frat party, now there's a real
scandal.

And so, inquiring minds want to know:

Was it Poppy, with his shadowy CIA connections,
who blackmailed Flash Photography into yanking
his grandaughter's photo?

How about Bar, the iron lady of Houston and
Kennebunkport. Might she have sneaked into Flash
Photography's studios and purloined the Jenna
negatives?

And just where was Florida Secretary of State
Katherine Harris when the damning photo went
missing?

Has anybody frisked Supreme Court Justice Sandra
Day O'Conner, who helped "select" President
Bush?

If the Democrats take back Congress in 2002,
look for a full investigation.

The United States will become increasingly vulnerable to hostile attack on our
homeland, possibly by weapons of mass destruction, from which our military
might not entirely protect us.

Rapid advances in information and biotechnologies — though an American
strength — will create new vulnerabilities for U.S. security as they proliferate
around the world and can be used against us.

Energy sources and production, including the United States’ continued
dependence on fossil fuels, will continue to be of major strategic significance.

“All borders will be more porous,” according to the report. “Some will bend
and some will break.”

The sovereignty of states will endure, in spite of the “global economy” and
ongoing efforts to build transnational institutions.

“Foreign crises will be replete with atrocities and the deliberate terrorizing of
civilian populations.”

Space will become militarized and by a larger number of nations.

I disagree that we are more civilized ....or less. You state it as though it were so. Our defense dept is the "worlds" defense dept and there is plenty of evidence of that. Terrorist threats tax our ingenuity and resources. Everyone hates us to some extent, just natural, but who are we bullying besides Iraq and of course, what's wrong with a little of that. Even the other Arabs were OK with that at one time, but now they've lost their will.
