It is to the benefit of the employees for the stock to be as low as possible on August 17, 2001, if I read this correctly.
A like number of options will be granted on August 17, 2001 at an exercise price equal to the fair market value on that date.

Why not giving them the option to purchase to-day?? Could we expect the price in August n o t to be h i g h e r than 26?
