Why would you want to be self-deluded? Darned if I know. But then, I don't know why people want to get drunk or stoned, but they seem to want to. I don't know why people want to cheat on their wives, but boy, in this isolated little community a who lot of them seem to want to. (Keeps me in business, though.) So why wouldn't you want to be self-deluded?? Edit: and no point arguing with me about wine vs. grape juice -- I don't imbibe alcoholic beverages, so I wouldn't know. My first example was sex, but I decided maybe some people HAD liked sex on their first try, so I recast it. So far I've never met anybody who liked their first sip of wine. Which leads me to wonder constantly why they take the second. But mine not to question why.
