I agree with you on the last point -- with respect to the troops, only caveat is that way they are accounted for. They are a true expense and ought to be properly reflected in earnings. Also, I think repricing them when management fails to perform is just stealing from the shareholders -- they have been understood too often to be "entitlements" not rewards for performance, IMO. I think one can make the argument that they have led to some instability of the workforce as of late ...
