My point is that a relatively dismal growth rate for brcm and avnx and amcc and csco and nt and all these former darlings is possible, and you don't argue with that.

I don't think we're in the bottom of a V-shaped correction, I think we've hit a sea change that will flatten the growth curve of the tech stock indices for quite a while- several yrs maybe. Just mho.
