Scumbria Re..You are truly a digital thinker. Everything is one extreme or the other. <<<<<<

Wouldn't the belief that getting rid of guns will solve the problem just as extreme as thinking guns don't contribute to the problem at all? If we didn't have guns, wouldn't we still have switchblades. If we didn't have guns, wouldn't we have something else that would take the place of guns?

It is obvious that we are what we eat. My children don't corrupt their minds watching television, and as a result they excel at every other aspect of life. They eat little meat, and spend their time playing sports, learning art and science, building things, learning the computer, performing, and all the classic skills in life.<<<<<

You also realize that your kids go to private schools, while at the same time you condemn the voucher system which will allow other less fortunate parents to send their kids to a private school. Isn't it easy, when you are one of the priviledged few, to throw rocks at everyone else?

The bottom line is that in America most are too lazy to raise children properly. <<<<<<<

And just how are you doing that? By showing your kids how to post on the internet hrs. each day. Do your kids know that you are denouncing people who preach morals, religion, private schools, and republicans in your messages. If you can't tolerate republicans, how can you teach tolerance. Who is raising your kids? You or your wife?

Scumbria, <Talking morality to a kid who just watched three hours of television ...>

I never said that teaching morality involved just talking to your kids during TV commercial breaks. Spending time with them and living a life worthy of imitation is the best way I know to raise a child.

<The bottom line is that in America most are too lazy to raise children properly.>

Americans are also quick to oversimplify things. "Oh, his parents didn't take good care of him." "Oh, he must have been picked on a little too much." "Oh, he must have played too many violent video games, or watched too much TV and movies." No wonder events like these defy explanation.

By the way, I watch a lot of movies and TV, play video games like crazy, and eat meat. Guess that makes me a troubled kid, no? ;-)
