CDMA technology settled in Shanghai Chinabyte(3/2/01), Shanghai Unicom has made its three year plan on cdma network. 500k planed for this year, and will expand upto 3 million capacity in three years. The existing 50k customers of 133 cdma net can switch to the new network if they wish to. The cdma technology is known as a mobile technology in between 2G and 3G. Compare to current GSM, cdma is reputed to have higher efficiency in spectrum usage, higher capacity, and wider coverage.
