Scumbria Re..Most of the kids at my kids school are pretty slow. It is their home life which stimulates them. No TV, no wasted time.,,

I probably should apologize. I was sermonizing when I should have included the word I in my statement. You are right in one regard, because if my computer could shoot bullets over the line, I probably would have killed five or six people this yr alone. And I must assume that I am not as lovable as I would hope either. On the other hand, guns are here, tougher laws won't make them go away.

It strikes me as odd that we are here saying others should practice tolerance when we don't practice it here either. The dems here are attacking GW as the devil incarnate and the republicans do likewise to Bill. Most of us here seem to do it, and we wonder where our kids could possibly get those ideas. Personally,to me our laws have emphasized individual rights too much over group rights; and it is our assertation of those rights which are causing some of the problems.

However for all of the preaching we do, the most prophetic question of the century for america came from Rodney King who asked "Why can't we all just get along?"

As far as your original statement, your kids spend half of their day at school, so I don't think you can contribute everything to home life. Also, when your 6 yr old turns 16, your influence will be replaced by his peers influence; and his peers in a private school are more likely to have better values.
