From the link you provided, Q: Will you be paying Qualcomm for their IPR? A: From what I understand, there is no decision made. There is talk, but nothing is decided. Docomo claims they will kick off service in May, so it seems a little late for them to address this issue. As far as I know, all of their suppliers have 3G contracts with Qualcomm. It would be amazing if Docomo decided to do otherwise. It would seem to set the stage for punitive damages... uf
