A method of carrying forward capital gains(already taxed and paid) to offset future losses
and therefore cause a reduction of future taxes would be fair and equitable to the investor.
That way, when the government causes the economy to tank, they can share in the losses.
Of course the Doubtful Duo Left Wing Racial and Class Dividing Demagogues
Mssrs. Daschle and Gephart , neither of whom have had to pay for an automobile or a muffler
since they began sucking at the public teat, would tolerate that idea as once the taxpayers money
is entered on the books it becomes the governments money to be doled out(less 40% or so) to
those who conform to the governments idea of a subservient clod.. You will send us your money.
We will tell you how to behave to receive a small portion back. If you die that's a nono.
You owe us money. If you marry that's a nono. You owe us money. No children. That's a nono.
You owe us more money. No kids in college. That's a nono. And on and on. You get the Idea.
I hope. And remember. If that billion dollars hedge fund goes broke(are these considered schmucks
in your jargon?) we(the taxpayer-I don't rember being asked) will bail it out, but if you lose your
home because you can't keep up with all the taxes will the gov't come to the rescue.
I don't think so. The gist of this rant is that the government is slowly, insidiously,
and socialistically taking control of our lives. And we are letting it happen. I can only hope
the grown ups now in Washington meant what they said when they campaigned on
smaller, less intrusive government, but first they will have to oust the dividers and mongers
of hate of the left. Regards to all. Ken
