"So, it's your position that a message board site shouldn't shut down spammers? Or people who threaten others?"

Nope, I happen to agree with shutting down people who truly threaten and folks that spam...what I DO object to is the fact that a different set of rules seem to apply at SI to different posters...A@P, for example, continues to post in spite of blatant and numerous TOU infractions, TLC makes a personal attack and then hours later withdraws it via a call to Jeff and all is OK, and the list goes on and on...explain that to me. Yet when one of us who are less of a draw gets even slightly out of line, the hammer comes down without hesitation...all I'm asking is that the rules apply to ALL in the community.

p.s. gubs have little or no meaning in my life, although I thought 666 was mildly cool...perhaps I will have same tatooed upon my head and change my SI alias to Lucifer.
